I've gotten a bookish box book from pango books and I love it but I've heard bookish box ships books out very delayed/late. There's also a couple boxes available from goldsboro (gsff and premier) Other boxes I'm curious about are fox& wit and bookish box. I think I was waiting for more than 3 months but that might have to do with them rearranging their waitlist and making me sign up for a second time. And a passport holder that wasn't too useful to me since I didn't need another one.Īs far as the waitlist goes the illumicrate wait list was short, I think I waited maybe a month and fairyloot was way too long. I also got book ends that I don't really love or hate, they are just ok. The june box included a mug that I liked and a book jacket that I loved. I wasn't sure I was going to like the bookish merch they include in the box but I was pleasantly surprised. We know what makes books special and we hand select the right book just for you. I've only recieved june box for illumicrate so far but I really enjoyed it. Treat yourself or give the gift of a monthly book subscription box. Personally I am subscribed to illumicrate and Fairyloot. I’ve heard a lot of chatter on BookTok about the low quality of merchandise that Bookish Box puts in theirs so I’ve been hesitant to give them a go. The book I did was about the French resistance and it was scented with Dior perfume and included a really cute purse and brooch (spoilers). As you read the book and get to those pages you open the gift and it’s supposed to enhance the experience. You get a book and a set of four or five little random wrapped gifts that are marked with page numbers. But mostly those are all the same book and bookish items… Unplugged was a little different (and kinda cool!) because it comes with self care items, like one came with a bath bomb, some bookish themed candles, and tea… It came with a special edition book which had really gorgeously sprayed edges. I was really impressed with Illumicrate tho I’ve only gotten one box thus far. I’m not sure how specifically curated it is, but I have ended up with a lot of stuff from series that I really like (along with a lot that I’ve never read but that kind of motivates me to start). So far I’ve really liked what Owlcrate sends. I’ve done Unplugged, Owlcrate, Illumicrate, and I am waiting on my first FairyLoot box.
